The TRM Services Story
TRM Services LLC is a family-owned and operated business started by Tim McColley in 2021. When Tim found himself out of work during COVID in 2020, he decided he wanted to apply his skills to be productive and give something back to his community, so he started offering handyman services and snow plowing (plowing is no longer an offered service). Tim started to build a good reputation and on February 8, 2021 TRM Services LLC was officially formed.
Early in the summer of 2021 Tim again took a full-time engineering job and the handyman services were backed off to a side job.
The spring of 2022 marked the first year of building raised garden boxes and continues to be a significant offering of the company.
In the winter of 2023 Tim again focused on running and building TRM Services full-time, and has been gradually shifting the focus to metal fabrication after purchasing a CNC plasma cutter and CNC Press brake. CNC Plasma cutting opens up a wide array of possibilities from custom monogram signs to design services and production runs for area manufacturers.
TRM Service's motto is "service with integrity", and we define integrity as always doing the right thing, even when no one is looking. The company exists to bring glory to God and improve people's lives, and that starts with integrity. TRM Services strives to be your go-to local small business for home repairs and metal fabrication projects.

Tim McColley
Tim has a Mechanical Engineering Technology degree from Michigan Tech University and has been tinkering with mechanical and electrical systems since childhood: in the eighth grade he built an eight foot tall trebuchet for a science fair project, winning first place.
Tim also loves to spend time camping with is family and riding his motorcycles, primarily off-road. He loves to get off the beaten path and get out in the woods hiking, mountain biking, or cross country skiing in the winter.
Tim has always had a passion for getting into the details of how things work and fixing and/or improving them. Tim has an eye for detail and prides himself on his quality of work. In his personal time he's rebuilt lawn mowers, dirt bikes, and car engines. He has built custom furniture from pallets, and designed and built from scratch a light weight, independent-suspension motorcycle trailer (pictures in the gallery below). Tim has spent most of his career in various manufacturing environments; most recently designing and building an automated production line to prime 4' by 10' doors for a regional door manufacturer.
If you have a problem you're trying to solve without spending a fortune, Tim's the guy to talk to.
